The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) consists of 56 telemetry beds enabling the provision of care for acute and chronic cardiac patients. Our patient population consists of post open heart, post cardiac intervention, heart failure, and/or any underlying cardiac condition. PCU receives approximately 40% of the total hospital admissions.
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must have completed an approved nursing assistant certification class, C.N.A. or equivalent experience. Prefer nursing students who have completed nursing fundementals. Job purpose: Carries out delegated nursing activities and provides general supportive care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse to provide safe effective patient care.
