The Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Steward St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, which is a teaching hospital of Tufts University School of Medicine, is searching for a full time Audiologist join our staff. The department sponsors the newborn hearing screening program throughout Steward Healthcare's network of hospitals in eastern Massachusetts and offers comprehensive audiological and vestibular assessment and rehabilitation across the lifespan. As a teaching hospital, we are committed to teaching the next generation of clinicians and actively participate in clinical training of technicians, audiology students and medical students.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide comprehensive audiometric and vestibular patient care, to participate in clinical teaching, and to participate in clinical research. Persons interested in pursuing clinical research in audiological related areas are particularly encouraged to apply and qualified clinical scholars will be granted an academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine at a level corresponding with their experience.

Specific Job Duties Include:
1. Comprehensive audiometry and tympanometry
2. Electroacoustic evaluation
3. Comprehensive vestibular assessment
4. Fitting of conventional and implantable hearing aids
5. Establishment or participation in clinical research programs
6. Any other duties assigned by the Director of Audiology

Minimum qualifications:
1) A license to practice Audiology in the state of Massachusetts (or the ability to acquire such license within 3 months of starting)
2) Clinical Certification as an Audiologist with either the American Academy of Audiology or the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
