POSITION SUMMARY

Cooks for cafeteria, catering, and various functions throughout the medical center. Follows recipes based on therapeutic diets.  Assists team with different duties in kitchen.  Performs other duties as   assigned.

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of St. Francis Medical Center. It is expected that the associate holding this position will demonstrate behaviors consistent with our core values and will comply with all required standards governing our commitment to Compassionate Care, Exemplary Service and serving our patients. The associate holding this position will support St. Francis Medical Center's strategic plan and all essential elements of Quality Improvement and Financial Stewardship.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

  • High School Graduate/GED or recent, demonstrated experience in a food service environment
  • Knowledge of nutrition requirements in medical field.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and food display required.
  • Previous food service, dish room, patient tray line, or cafeteria service experience preferred
  • Bilingual (English/ Spanish) preferred
