    • JOB SUMMARY
      • The Data Entry Clerk, under the direction of the Director of Materials Management and the Purchasing Manager, and in collaboration with other Materials Management staff, maintains the Meditech Materials Management and other related databases. The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately and efficiently entering new data into the Meditech database, reviewing existing data within the databases, and making revisions as needed to maintain prescribed data standards that ensure data integrity. The Data Entry Clerk provides support for fundamental purchasing functions as needed. The Data Entry Clerk also provides general administrative support.
    • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
      • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
        Experience: One (1) year previous keyboarding and computer experience.

    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
      • Education: N/A
        Experience: Purchasing/Materials Management related position; demonstrated competence using Microsoft Excel,Access and/or other database management software tools such as ESI/McKesson, HBOC, NOVA, or Meditech.

    • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
      • Efficient use of computer technology and software operating systems such as Apple and Microsoft. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; to exercise good judgment, make independent decisions within Hospital guidelines and accept personnel responsibilities; to establish and maintain good working relationships with medical staff, Hospital staff and vendors. Ability to type with high rate of accuracy.
      • READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
      • WRITING - Basic: Ability to write simple correspondence.
      • SPEAKING - Intermediate: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations or before groups of customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
      • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
      • REASONING ABILITY - Basic Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional variables.
