Reporting directly to the Vice President of Patient Services, the Clinical Nurse Manager provides clinical, fiscal and leadership direction for the Intensive Care Unit. This position is responsible for 24 hours, seven day a week patient care management. The Nurse Manager implements and monitors fiscal and clinical indicators to meet the unit’s goals and standards. This position serves as the key link between the unit staff and nursing and hospital administrative staff, collaborates with all disciplines to promote communication and integrated services for patient care.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated effective communication skills with Physicians, Nurse Managers, Senior Leadership and all employees at all levels. Progressive development in nursing leadership roles (5-7 years), ability to foster true collaboration and authentic leadership with all areas of responsibility, prior experience with annual capital budget based on capital categories, depreciation, justification and ROI, creating an annual budget and weekly monitoring of the operating budget. Must set annual goals, in alignment with departmental and organizations goals to achieve quality, safety and patient satisfaction targets. Must be proficient with computer applications; including email, outlook, word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, and demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally multi-task in a changing environment are all required.
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, possess a BSN, MSN preferred. Must have current RN Massachusetts Licensure.
