RN (Registered Nurse) in State of Illinois
Functions as the management representative of the hospital on evening, and nights, cover weekends and holidays. As needed directs and coordinates the placement of patients and staff on a 24 hour basis ensuring quality patient care and cost effectiveness. Oversees and supervises the nursing department staff and per diem pool and acts as a resource assisting with problem solving and decision making. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental and divisional nursing philosophy and objectives, as well as, Health System initiatives. Provides direct patient care as needed.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. At least three years clinical experience in an acute care setting.
Current RN licensure in the State of Illinois.
BLS, ACLS certification required within one year of hire.
Demonstrated leadership and management skills. Excellent communication, organization and critical-decision making skills required. Good interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization and community. Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required.
