The Information System (IS) IT Application Analyst I position is focused on delivering quality, efficiency, and positive outcomes through the use of technology to meet the strategic and operational initiatives of SwedishAmerican Health System (SAHS).  This is accomplished through these functions:


§  Assist in analysis of workflows for the efficient design of all applications

§  Act as a liaison between vendor of assigned applications and customers to troubleshoot problems and enhance functionality to utilize application efficiently

§  Build, test and maintain assigned software and configuration files in live, test and training environments

§  Develop training materials and resource manuals

§  Train new and established employees

§  Report writing from assigned applications as required

Provide after hours and on-call support  

Associates Degree preferred

Vendor issued certification of application knowledge or competency for assigned systems required where available.  The due date for obtaining certification will be determined by the assigned system taking into account training availability, duration, testing and certification requirements

§  Strong customer service focus

§  Working knowledge of computer hardware and data communication methodologies

§  Possess logical, methodical troubleshooting skills, sound root-cause analysis and problem solving abilities

§  Highly organized and detail oriented with good written and verbal communication skills

§  Three years experience with a variety of software applications preferred

§  Working knowledge of current operating system(s) deployed at SAHS

§   Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

§  General understanding of application interfaces
