Job Details:
  • The Nurse Technician II is a graduate of a nursing school waiting to take the NCLEX exam to become a Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse.  A Nurse Tech II is not considered a RN or LPN until successfully passing the NCLEX exam.   


    1.       Actively demonstrates the organization's mission and core values, and conducts oneself at all times in a manner consistent with these values.

    2.       Knows and adheres to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety and medical information.

    3.       Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharges by collecting data and reporting to his/her preceptor.

    4.       Provides direct patient care according to age specific guidelines and established policies and procedures.

    5.       Communicates patient related data and requests to appropriate team members.

    6.       Assists in meeting the patient's nutritional needs.

    7.       Assists with ambulation to include walkers, canes, prostheses, etc. 

    8.       Maintains a safe environment by adhering to hospital policies and procedures for isolation techniques, use of restraints, and prevention of falls.  Reports any unsafe condition to the appropriate associate.

    9.       Documents and reports care delivered per policy.

    10.   Performs other related duties as assigned or as workload or staffing variations require. 



    Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and waiting to take NCLEX exam.

    Licensure: BLS certification on hire or able to attain within 60 days.  Failure to pass NCLEX exam on first attempt will result in the associate reverting back to a Nurse Tech position.

    Experience: Satisfactory completion of an accredited school of nursing.

    Other Job Requirements:

    Assigned hours within your shift, starting time, or days of work are subject to change based on departmental and/or organizational needs.
