Responsible for providing rapid entry registration to all hospital services while maintaining a customer focus. Will perform registration, pre-registration, insurance verification and professional customer services to all patients.
MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school graduate or GED equivalent. Minimum of one year healthcare or customer service experience required. Keyboarding skills 40 WPM with 90% accuracy; successful completion of medical terminology with 80% score, required within one year of hire date.
Excellent interpersonal skills needed to interact with internal/external customers. Able to articulate and demonstrate commitment to the Philosophy, Values and Mission of Mercy Hospital Cadillac. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations, the Corporate Compliance Program, Code of Ethics, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
