The primary purpose of this job is to perform in a food production capacity including preparation and production of food for residents and staff. This is accomplished by following food production standards and working and maintaining a sanitary and safe environment. This position reports directly to the Certified Dietary Manager.
Job Specific Skills include:
- Preview menus and assemble food and supplies as needed for daily production
- Prepare, season and cook food according to standardized recipes per modified diet specifications
- Ensures that all food prepared meets existing standards for quality, taste, freshness, and appearance
- Supervises the overall daily food service operations including preparation, production, storage, distribution and sanitation in the absence of the CDM.
