Under administrative direction of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), this position serves as an executive director providing oversight and leadership to all clinical and patient care departments as well as other assigned departments and functions. The hospital Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) manages, directs, plans, and coordinates the functions and activities for all nursing services in the hospital. The CCO has the authority, responsibility and accountability for establishing the nursing standards of patient care, nursing practice, nursing policies and procedures, nurse staffing plans and standards to measure, assess, and improve patient outcomes. The CCO assists the CEO and other administrators in the development, formulation, and implementation of hospital strategic plans and serves as part of the hospital’s executive management team.
-Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Nursing, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or closely related field.
-Current Georgia RN License (Or be eligible to obtain GA RN License)
-Seven years of increasingly responsible clinical or administrative nursing experience in an acute care hospital or comparable facility, five years of which must have been at the upper or middle management level.
