Purpose and Scope:
The Staff Development Adjunct clinical instructor is involved in the training and professional development of students. Interpretive skills, frequent interactive and consultative collaborations, along with demonstrated leadership ability are inherent in the position. The position requires knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures as well as standard practice guidelines and regulatory requirements. The ability to retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information in a written, auditory or visual fashion is essential. Written, telephone, and manual dexterity skills are required for this position.
The SD adjunct Clinical Instructor will provide clinical instruction and oversite to clinical student groups at Virginia Hospital Center. Required to observe, evaluate, and provide feedback to students while achieving the objectives of the course.
- Bachelor's in Nursing is Required
- Master's in Nursing is Preferred
- Three years in Healthcare/Medical-Nursing/ Patient Care is preferred
- Staff Development experience preferred
- Clinical Instruction experience preferred
