Purpose and Scope:
The Technical Systems Administrator is responsible to provide systems engineering and administrative support across a wide array of software and hardware systems and components used to deliver production services. The incumbent provides technical leadership and direction for the automation and improvement of overall operations. Identifies areas for improvement, prepares project plans and assists the Manager of IT Technology Service Center to manage all phases of project implementations. Coordinates all project activity with other IS pyramids, vendors and the client community. Responsible to provide resolution, leadership and training on escalated issues from help desk and field service operations ensuring on-going support services in a 24x7 operational environment.
The incumbent receives supervision and general guidance from the Manager of IT Technology Service Center. The Systems Administrator is expected to work well in a team-oriented environment.
I. Position Requirements:
A. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
B. Training & Certifications: Formal Training in Microsoft Systems and Technology environments, MCSE or other related certification preferred.
