Title: Diet Office Clerk
Schedule: PRN (as needed)
Location: Arlington, VA
Purpose and Scope:
Performs clerical tasks necessary to ensure that each patient receives the items on the menu that meet the patients special needs. The Diet Office Clerk is able to process menus according to diet order or refer the menus and questions to the appropriate individuals. The Diet Office Clerk is responsible to process diet changes accurately. The Diet Office Clerk answers telephone calls from patients, family, staff and outside sources and must have good telephone skills. He or she will work together with the rest of the employees in the department to provide optimal food, nutritional and environmental services to the patients, visitors, and staff to promote the healing and well-being of each individual. The Diet Office Clerk will perform any other related tasks as assigned.
I. Position Requirements:
A. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Applicants may be enrolled in High School.
B. Experience: One year experience in foodservice setting or equivalent preferred.
