Purpose and Scope: The E-Learning Solutions Administrator is responsible for the development and implementation of e-learning strategies throughout Virginia Hospital Center. Evaluates online training needs to support system initiatives. Works collaboratively with subject matter experts to design and develop engaging e-learning classes appropriate for adult learners. Manages all aspects and activities related to Virginia Hospital Center's Learning Management System (LMS). Serves as an expert on assigned projects and provides transfer of knowledge to other team members. Additional responsibilities include project management , participation in department projects, the development of databases, and creation of reports.
Bachelor's degree in instructional media, instructional design, educational psychology, educational technology, or closely related field required. Master's degree preferred.
--5 years experience in a technology field including responsibilities for Learning Management System, relational databases, eLearning technologies and design software.
--Healthcare industry experience preferred.
--Experience with HealthStream preferred.
--Knowledge of adult learning theory, curriculum development, and instructional design.
--Extensive knowledge of graphic authoring tools, web-based authoring tools, Microsoft Office applications.
--Excellent communication and presentation skills.
--Good organizational skills and ability to work independently.
--Ability to work with a wide variety of users with differing levels of computer skills.
--Ability to adjust to various personalities in stressful situations and maintain positive interactions with users.
