Purpose and Scope:
Our patient population consists of Medical/Surgical patients who have suffered disabling conditions requiring acute, inpatient physical rehabilitation. Common diagnoses can include: CVA, amputees, bilateral total joint replacements, spinal cord injury, multiple trauma, traumatic brain injury, and neurologic diagnoses such as Parkinson's disease, guillian barré, multiple sclerosis, etc..
If you do not have prior Acute Rehab experience, a good Med/Surg or Ortho/Neuro background in an acute environment is a good foundation for rehab nursing development.
New grads can be considered for the Med/Surg Fellowship in this department.
I. Position Requirements:
- RN Licensure with Reciprocity in the state of Virginia
- BLS for the Healthcare Provider CPR
- Previous Acute Rehab experience preferred
- CRRN certification preferred
