Purpose and Scope:
As the Receptionist/Assistant, incumbent will answer telephones and refer callers as appropriate, or provide personnel information. The Receptionist/Assistant has fronting responsibility for handling customer service interactions, primarily through telephone and personal contact with both internal and external customers. Works under the supervision of the Director of Nurse Recruitment and provides technical and clerical support the Nurse Recruitment Department. The Receptionist/Assistant supports the mission, vision of the facility.
A. Education: Associates degree preferred.
B. Experience: Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people. Must be able to maintain composure and handle stress in a busy office atmosphere. Must be able to represent the hospital and the Nurse Recruitment Department to all employees and visitors in a professional and friendly manner at all times. Knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word required. Experience in healthcare with knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Experience in staffing, recruitment or human resources a plus.
