Purpose and Scope:
The Heart Station provides diagnostic services on a 24-hour basis to adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular disorders. The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing Echocardiograms, Stress Echocardiograms, Dobutamine Stress Echo's, Transesophageal Echocardiograms, and EKG's. Must have the ability to retrieve, communicate and present information in a written, oral or visual fashion. The knowledge to discern and report emergency findings is required. Good communication, writing and telephone skill are required for this position as well as light typing and filing.
I. Position Requirements:
A. Education: Echo Registry required.
B. Experience: Two years of hospital experience required.
C. Certification: Basic Life Support, must have a recognized credential with ARDMS or CCI
