    Position Purpose:

    To facilitate, create, support, maintain and drive strategic plans and initiatives that aggressively promote and propel the Renown Health Purpose, Fundamentals, array of services, operations and vitality. 

    Nature and Scope:

    In support of the Renown Purpose, the CEO and the leadership of Renown Health the individual in this position will carry out the Position Purpose through organized, methodical, documented and plan full processes that inspire leaders to proactively develop innovative and effective strategic plans and to passionately implement initiatives for the vitality and growth of Renown Health in service to people who need clinical care. The position will lead the strategic planning process under the guidance of the CEO, facilitating aspects of the necessary organizing, participation, collaboration, documentation and implementation of such planning. This individual will establish means of promoting and creating broad awareness of the plans and the roles and responsibilities of individuals to carry out the initiatives that will make the plans successful. The individual will create validation and reporting mechanisms with performance and accomplishments targets, milestones and accountabilities compared with actual performance and hold regular meetings to determine correction in direction, energy, resources and performance necessary for successful plan and initiative implementation.

    • Ability to quickly understand issues, to identify alternatives, quantify and assess, and to objectively present recommendations that are in the best interest of the network.
    • Ability to drive the development of strategic and capital projects. To determine volume projections for inpatient and outpatient services. To facilitate annual strategic review and goal setting process. To provide data analysis to support the planning cycle and process (includes patient volumes and trends, current and projected needs, patient origin and market share, medical staff analysis, Five Year Planning, and the development of goals).
    • Ability to assist Accountable Group Leaders in setting strategic direction. To coordinate planning process and to participate in the Health Network’s master space plan development, budget development, and provide data support on scheduled and as needed projects. Position will anticipate/discern emergency trends that may impact the network, and focus energy and resource on value-added efforts, effectively balancing short and long-term goals.
    • Ability to achieve operating results by encouraging innovation and creative solutions with a sound understanding of business and organizational culture and use good judgment.
    • Ability to build relationship. To collaborate easily and effectively with counterparts, and with physicians, managers, and other network employees and audiences.
    • Position must work with counterparts across the network to create synergy, efficiency, and effectiveness, and to provide strategies that are complementary.

    Minimum Qualifications:  Requirements - Required and/or Preferred

    Education:

    Must have command of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking for the purposes of facilitating, educating, creating collaboration and cooperation and convincing and selling of ideas and concepts. Degree in Business or health care or related field required.

    Experience:

    5 years experience in healthcare planning, management, or consulting. 3 years experience in hospital operations. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills as well as verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must possess business and market research skills with a proven knowledge of healthcare industry trends and integrated healthcare
