Anesthesia Technicians are to assist licensed anesthesia providers in the acquisition, preparation and application of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia. All duties are performed under the direct supervision of a licensed anesthesia provider or RN. Performs cleaning, sterilizing, disinfecting, stocking and orders and maintains the routine anesthesia equipment and supplies.
High School diploma or GED. Previous work experience in an O.R./Anesthesia setting is preferred.
BLS is required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS
