Develops and provides training and competency sessions for testing personnel for all POC test performance, documentation and quality control. Evaluates reported patient values,QC and completes corrective actions as required. Establishes protocols/procedures to meet all regulatory requirements including correlation and proficiency testing, standard operating procedures, etc.
Associate Degree-Medical Laboratory Technology or Bachelor Degree-Medical Technology with 3 years experience required. MLT or MT Certification or eligible (ASCP or equivalent) required. State license required if applicable.
BLS is required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS.
