The Culinary Nutrition Consultant combines expertise in food, nutrition, and the culinary arts. The position’s primary responsibilities include meeting nutritional guidelines for healthy menu items by developing and testing new recipes; computerized nutrition analysis, verifying thoroughness and accuracy of recipes and analysis and teaching healthy cooking skills to the food production team. The Culinary Nutrition Specialist maintains professional competency and skills required for professional practice.


This is a grant-funded position.



  • Bachelor's degree in food science, culinary arts, clinical nutrition, food and nutrition, or related area, granted from a U.S. regionally accredited college or university.  Preferred completion of a didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Registered Dietitian preferred
  • Experience with cooking techniques, processes and recipe development
