    ROLE SUMMARY

    The Early Intervention Education Specialist is responsible for providing individualized developmentally appropriate family centered services to children with special needs, age birth to three, and their families as well as collaborates with families, other early childhood professionals and community resources to provide support. Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team in the planning and provision of education services outlined in IFSP in accordance with IDEA Part C.


    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    Education:   Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education or Early Intervention or related field required. Master's Degree preferred.


    Experience: 1-3 years related experience preferred


    Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Current Washington State Teaching Certificate required (with Early Childhood and Special Education endorsement preferred). Maintain Washington State registration as a Family Resource Coordinator.


    Level of Business Knowledge/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
